Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Paralegal license
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within Tort or Accident Benefits
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting


  • 5+ years of personal injury experience working with Accident Benefits claims in a personal injury and/or insurance litigation firm (Must)
  • Licensed Paralegal
  • Experience in trial preparation and dispute resolution processes such as drafting of claims, motion records, legal memoranda, LAT Applications, etc.
  • Scheduling appointments, mediations, pre-hearings, etc.
  • Complete sworn Affidavits of Documents
  • Experience handling files from beginning to end
  • Experienced in settling claims
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and maintain high attention to detail
  • Settlement negotiation: 3 years
  • Proficient in the use of Primafact and Tracument


  • Handling work proactively on file from intake to resolution
  • Completing forms and preparing summaries, applications and settlement proposals
  • Negotiate settlements
  • Handle LAT case conferences independently
  • Prepare for LAT hearing
  • Paralegal responsibilities will also include assisting counsel with clients’ accident benefits claims and dispute resolution processes.


  • Fast and accurate typing speed (over 60 wpm)
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • PC Law experience working on accounts
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, time management skills and great follow through
  • Excellent work ethics and a strong attention to detail
  • You thrive on a fast pace and enjoy working on a variety of files
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
  • Experience with Primafact is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
