Job Description of FOH Roles

Server

  • Greeting customers when entering or leaving the restaurant;
  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers;
  • Familiarizing customers with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when
    requested;
  • Taking customer orders and relaying them accurately to relevant team members;
  • Serving food and beverages;
  • Properly cleaning and setting tables between uses;
  • Anticipating guests’ needs in order to facilitate enjoyable dining experiences;
  • Taking feedback from customers and escalating existing issues or potential complaints
    to the on-shift supervisor;
  • Being professional and friendly towards coworkers and customers at all times
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area;
  • Completing other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Cashier

  • Managing transactions with customers using cash registers;
  • Collecting payments whether in cash or credit card;
  • Taking feedback from customers and escalating potential customer complaints to the onshift
    supervisor;
  • Familiarizing customers with the menu and making appropriate suggestions when
    requested;
  • Handling pick-up orders;
  • Maintaining clean and tidy cashier areas;
  • Completing other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Bartender

  • Preparing alcohol or non-alcohol beverages;
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol;
  • Maintaining bar inventory and supplies;
  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations in accordance with food safety
    guidelines;
  • Memorizing bar recipes and following appropriate SOP when making beverages to
    ensure quality consistency;
  • Taking feedback from customers and escalating existing issues or potential complaints
    to the on-shift supervisor;
  • Maintaining a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning surfaces, and washing
    glasses, utensils, and equipment.;
  • Completing other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
